‘Pokemon GO’ 2nd Gen Update Release Date, Latest News & Update: Nearby Tracking Hints A Christmas Release?

Fans are really excited with the major expansion that will bring a different new experience to players of the global phenomenon, "Pokémon GO". It was first announced that the expansion will be live in time for Thanksgiving Day, but no update was issued and fans are expecting Niantic to give the players their Christmas presents in the form of the 2nd Generation Update.

"Pokémon GO" was hailed as the Best Game for Handhelds and Smartphones during the recently held Game Awards 2016.With this recognition under their belt; we can assume that Niantic will be going on the right track.

Recently, Niantic has released a patch expanding their Nearby Tracking beta all the way to Europe and to the rest of America. According to some Redditors, this is a hint that the second generation update will be upon us in the weeks to come, which will be in time for Christmas. Otakukart reported that Niantic is now preparing for the global update that will bring an additional of one hundred plus new Pokémons and 86 more new moves.

These new moves will prove to be great game changers, as it will diversify choices to existing Pokémon Teams. This will make the game more challenging as players will be required to strategize in building their respective teams.

The Nearby Tracker, however, seems incomplete and is still in beta mode. This only solidify the theory that Niantic is preparing for a big Holiday event, as they are making sure that a stable and functioning system is established to allow them to make additional materials.

In another report, the Tracker will be including additional features where Pokémons will not stack on the tracker. Players will now be able to hunt down a particular Pokémon while not affecting random spawns. This will be very useful to rural players whose places are not rich with historical features to serve as Poké Stops.

With Christmas approaching fast, and "Pokemon GO" receiving a prestigious award, it seems that there is no better gift Niantic can give to players, other than the Second Generation update, that everyone is excited about.
