Sia On Divorce With Husband Erik Lang: "We Are Dedicated To Remaining Friends"

"Chandelier" singer Sia confirmed split with her husband Erik Lang. The singer-songwriter is married for two years with the film producer following their two-month engagement in 2014.

According to ET Online, the couple have decided to separate after doing many considerations and some soul searching as per Sia. The multi-awarded singer also claimed that despite the divorce, the two are to remain friends.

The sad news came just after the announcement of her nominations for the Grammy awards 2017. Sia Furler was nominated under categories Best Pop Vocal Album for her "This Is Acting" and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her song "Cheap Thrills" featuring Sean Paul. Her song "Try Everything" which was used in the animated movie Zootopia was also nominated for a Grammy award.

On the other hand, Beyonce topped the Grammy awards 2017 with a total of 9 nominations which include her songs "Formation" "Lemonade" and "Don't Hurt Yourself" featuring Jack White. She is also said to be the first artist to be nominated in 4 different genres under the same year.

Other artists that garnered nominations include Adele for her songs "Hello" and "25", Rihanna and Drake for "Work", Ariana Grande for "Dangerous Woman" and Lucas Graham for "7 Years." The full list of the Grammy awards 2017 nominees can be seen here.

Meanwhile, both Sia and Erik left no other comment regarding their divorce. Sia was also reportedly busy with promoting her album "This is Acting" this year. The "Elastic Heart" singer became controversial following her concept of wearing an oversized bob-cut wig that covers half of her face. She also had several performances where she was facing her back away from the audience including the one on Ellen Degeneres' show where she said she hides her face in order for her to avoid the paparazzi.
