“Outlander” fans have been on the lookout for production updates on season 3 since Caitriona Balfe (Claire) said last week that she and co-star Sam Heughan (Jamie) will be filming more scenes together. It looks like the stars have already filmed the most awaited scene of the new installment as Heughan took to Twitter to tease the filming of the print shop scene.
On Sunday, Dec. 11, the actor posted a cryptic message on the micro blogging site, which reads, “Oh you know…Just printing stuff.” Fans of Diana Gabaldon’s "Outlander" book series are well aware of what happens in the scene, and many of them expressed their excitement over the new development on the set of the Starz series.

As previously reported by Jobs & Hire, the print shop scene is featured in Gabaldon’s third “Outlander” book titled “Voyager,” and it features the much-anticipated reunion between Claire and Jamie after spending 20 years apart.
Before the Battle of Culloden began in "Outlander" season 2 finale, Jamie urged Claire to return to her own time in the 1940s so she and their unborn child would be safe. In “Voyager,” the Highlander is taken to Ardsmuir Prison for his role in the rebellion. Meanwhile, Claire gives birth to daughter Brianna, and she raises the child with her first husband, Frank. In the show, Brianna is played by Sophie Skelton, while Frank is played by Tobias Menzies.
After his initial tweet, Heughan posted another update and wrote, “Want to see Cait in the printshop?” Though the actor did not post a picture of his co-star, it is expected that some promotional photos from the upcoming "Outlander" season will be released prior to the show’s return to Starz.
Caitriona Balfe told Variety that after filming in the Highlands, production will move to South Africa next year as Claire and Jamie embark on a sea adventure while in search of his kidnapped nephew.
“We go there next year, so that will be interesting,” said the actress. “I don’t know what all of us are going to do when we have sunshine on tap.”
“Outlander” season 3 premieres in 2017 on Starz.
