Novel Series ‘Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody’ Receives Its Own Anime Adaptation

Last Saturday, it was revealed that the fantasy light novel series entitled "Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody" will have its very first anime adaptation years after it was first published. Originally titled as "Death March Kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyōsōkyoku", the said manga series was authored by shri, Megumu Aya and Hiro Ainana.

The said manga series, which was published by Yen Press, is already on its fourth volume. It was also adapted from the original manga series of Ainana which had the similar title. The illustrations of the manga series, including the designs of the original characters, were all made by shri on the light novel series adaptation of Aya.

According to Anime News Network, the manga series which was initially being posted since 2013 already has 15 web novels and 9 light novels. In March of 2014, Kadokawa has published "Death March to Parallel World Rhapsody's" very first issue with illustrations designed by shri. On Saturday, the ninth volume of the novel will also be published by Kadokawa.

The light novel series is about Suzuki, a 29-year-old experienced programmer who was going through a "death march". Suddenly, he woke up and noticed that he was thrown to a different world with unusual clothes on during the first level.

Suzuki surprisingly gained a lot of riches and treasures after he used the Meteor Shower which is considered as a disposable magic powered by a series of spells. After his overwhelming wealth, he then decided to go sightseeing with a heartwarming, rarely serious voyage to the other world.

In a report by ASZ News, the light novel goes along with too much harem in its storyline. Suzuki has met several people all throughout his journey, including the three girl beasts, the black and purple-haired sisters who are equally beautiful and the unusual elf girl whose hair is blonde. The fictional story is heartwarming, despite the occasional fights with demons and demon lords.

Last month, a promotional video for the manga adaptation of "Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody" was issued by Kadokawa. For more updates on manga and other anime series, check out Jobs & Hire.
