A post on Android Developers Blog appears to confirm that Google is making Android 7.1.1 Nougat available to device makers, which might very well include Sony. The rollout of Android 7.1.1 Nougat for Sony Xperia X users could mean better features and optimizations.

An Xperiablog post reported that Sony's Concept tem has been tirelessly working to ensure the release of Android 7.1.1 Nougat for Sony Xperia X. The Android 7.1.1 Nougat release would include the long-awaited restart option in the power menu and an image keyboard for certain Sony Xperia X apps.
