‘Supergirl’ Season 2: Jeremy Jordan Teases Winn’s Reaction to Crossover, Hints at Big Development In Episode 9

The midseason finale of “Supergirl” saw the Maiden of Might heading to Central City to help The Flash (Grant Gustin), Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) and the “Legends of Tomorrow” crew save the world from an alien invasion. When the show returns, fans can expect Kara (Melissa Benoist) to fly back into action as Jeremy Jordan teased a major development in the next episode.

It was thought that of all the people in Kara’s world, Winn would be the one who’d be most upset over missing the heroic team-up earlier this month. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Jordan said that his character wouldn’t be sulking about it as there will be other problems up ahead in episode 9.

“Winn doesn’t have a lot of time to be bummed out because of what happens in the episode after that,” said the actor.

It can be recalled that the last time fans saw the “Supergirl” gang, Kara and Mon-El (Chris Wood) shared a kiss after the latter was affected by the Cadmus virus. Later, both of them pretended not to remember the kiss. Meanwhile, Maggie (Floriana Lima) declared her feelings for Alex (Chyler Leigh), while Winn and James (Mehcad Brooks) have yet to tell Kara about the Guardian’s true identity.

Could the big development have something to do with James coming clean about his alter ego? It’s likely that there could be a big blow up between him and Kara once she learns that he has been doing some vigilante work on the side. There’s also the possibility that she might give Winn the cold shoulder after she learns that he has been helping James and that he has kept this knowledge from her.

Meanwhile, Bleeding Cool reports that an exclusive clip of episode 9 was released on The CW app, and the hour will see Mon-El working at the alien bar as a bartender. Apart from his new job, fans will be tuning in to see if his relationship with Kara will flourish, as previously reported by Jobs & Hire. A date for the show’s return has yet to be announced, but Futon Critic lists repeat episodes until Jan. 16, which means that episode 9 could air on Jan. 23, 2017.

“Supergirl” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
