‘Clash of Clans’ Latest News & Update: Winter Is Coming! Supercell Teases December 2016 Update! VR Feature, ‘Clash Royale’ Troops Crossover Included?

Winter is coming! The much anticipated December 2016 Update for "Clash of Clans" is almost upon us and Supercell has started to provide sneak peaks. With the launch date for the update already confirmed, fans are beginning to speculate about the features likely to be included in Supercell's December Patch.

Supercell, via the official Twitter account of "Clash of Clans," posted a photo of a snowball containing a Town Hall and trees covered in snow. The reliable "Clash of Clans" fan site All Clash speculates that the Town Halls will get a makeover in relation to a new game mode or gameplay that's going to be introduced in the December 2016 Update.

In Supercell's official forum, a fan posted a query regarding the possibility of "Clash of Clans" characters being introduced to the card-based real-time strategy game, "Clash Royale." Supercell, via its representative, "let it slip" that it's the other way around. Meaning, the Supercell staff has confirmed that "Clash Royale" troops will definitely be introduced to "Clash of Clans," albeit "eventually." Gamers are speculating that the most likely "Clash Royale" troops to be introduced in "Clash of Clans" are the mini PEKKA, Lumberjack, and the Ice Wizard.

Jobs & Hire recently reported that a new gameplay is coming with the December 2016 Update. According to the report, Supercell confirmed that a new game mode is indeed in the works. Supercell also announced their plans on how they will "tweak the balancing of Clan Wars matchmaking and improve gameplay."

The rumors regarding the Virtual Reality (VR) feature remains the most puzzling speculation to come up from the rumor mill. Jobs & Hire recently claimed that the leaks concerning the VR feature may have been false. According to the report, introducing a VR feature in a game played on a mobile platform doesn't make sense.

However, coupled with the rumored "Clash of Clans 2" said to be in development, the VR feature makes sense at least on the marketing front. Since "Pokemon GO," the closest competitor of "Clash of Clans," is already running on an augmented-reality platform, it only seems logical that Supercell will counter with a VR feature.

While the features stated above can now be considered confirmed, there is still a possibility that some of it won't appear on the December 2016 Update. Fans have noted how Supercell likes to tease new contents in their official forums that don't make the official version of the game. With Supercell announcing that "Winter Is Coming," the impending December 2016 Update for "Clash of Clans" now seems a certainty! What is uncertain however are the VR Feature, and the selected 'Clash Royale' troops rumored to be included in the December Patch. For the latest 'Clash of Clans' news, visit our website.
