In the backstage of things, the WWE Raw administration is quite set to place "The New Day" as the new tag team record-holder as they intend to push out "Demolition" due to a certain lawsuit the group filed in the past. According to AvClub, "Demolition" is part of the class-action lawsuit against the wrestling network and WWE is quite zealous to remove it from its records.

The Kevin Owens-Chris Jericho match-up as "Team Jeri-KO" also showed tension while in the ring with Owens telling Jericho to "shut up" just before Jericho unleashed his finishing move against Roman Reigns during the "Triple Threat" event. It was after Jericho walked out on Owens that Seth Rollins "pedigreed" Jericho near his limousine.
