‘Dawson’s Creek’ Reunion Happening Soon; Actor Joshua Jackson Explains How

Joshua Jackson does not think a 'Dawson's Creek' reunion is feasible. In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, which aired Tuesday, the actor brags about the four lead stars having aged well, but also admits they still could not measure up to their younger counterparts because so many years have gone by.

Jackson, who played Pacey Witter, has since enjoyed a long and productive career after the show ended its six-season run several years back. Yet fans, including DeGeneres, are hoping it would make a comeback. Even if only through a partial reunion, they would like to see their favorite characters once again. The actor, however, thinks that such a reunion would not work.

People shares Jackson's thoughts from that interview as to why he thinks a Dawson's reunion would be problematic. The first problem, for him, is that one of the core-four will no longer be in the revival.

"We killed Michelle Williams' character, Jen, at the series finale," Jackson said. His opinion is that it would need some crafty writing to resurrect some of the most loved characters that the show had written off before the series came to a close.

"The other thing is, it's been a very long time," says Jackson in the Inquisitr. By which he means that any 'Dawson's' fan who sees the four of them on camera at this time might be a bit shocked and disheartened. It just would not be the same now that the 'Dawson's Creek' characters are all grown up. Fans might only be disappointed when they get to see a sort of revival that is not exactly what they were hoping for.

"No," DeGeneres told him and to which fans everywhere may have aired the same sentiments. Jackson was adamant though. Meanwhile, Jobs & Hire reported a few days ago that Jackson's recent show 'The Affair' brought viewers both thrills and chills in the third episode of Season 3.
