Top 10 TV Shows Of 2016: 'Westworld,' 'Stranger Things,' 'Atlanta' And More

It is down to the last few weeks of December and the different entertainment sites are battling their top 10's out before 2016 ends. Forbes joins in as it releases its Top 10 TV shows list today.

Forbes starts off the list with NBC's "The Good Place" on the 10th spot. This seemingly inspirational show, that has a few hints of comedy, features good life lessons and is believed to have a good cast. It gained 5.14 million followers on the first half of their first season.

Next up is HBO's "Westworld". Around 2.2 million viewers were intrigued by their season finale with their main premise being characterized as "mind-boggling." HBO sure had this show as another piece of success.

Then there's "This is Us", also by NBC. The show has already garnered a whopping three Golden Globe nominations on their first season. The fans loved their formula of family drama plus humor.

Seventh on the list is HBO's eight-episode action-suspense show "The Night Of." Although consistency is still in question after the first few shows topped the charts, it still earns a spot on the list with a million followers.

On the sixth spot is Netflix's "Stranger Things." This sci-fi has probably made it to all the lists there are for this year as it continues to gain fans from all over the world and earning a Golden Globe nomination for Best Drama.

"The Americans" by FX makes it to the fifth place. Although it has run for four seasons already, the excitement never stops as the two Soviet spies continue their mission. It didn't have a lot of fans over the last season but it has still been renewed by FX.

Meanwhile, "Game of Thrones" still makes it to the top 4. The fans continue to get hooked after six seasons. Jobs & Hire, on their report about the top 5 most expensive shows this year, also had it on the third spot. Now it seems the fans can't wait for what is rumored as the final season.

At the third spot is "Better Call Saul" by AMC. The show has indeed continued the great legacy that "Breaking Bad" has left. The show has made a name for itself as it delivers the "sad truths" of being a human.

FX's "Atlanta" falls second and continues telling stories revolving around race and gender issues. The controversial theme got the show two Golden Globe nominations including Best TV, Musical or Comedy series.

Last and on the top spot is "The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story." Although the viewers already know how the story goes, the pressure on director Ryan Murphy is still deemed to result in an impressive show.

It is almost impossible to identify which ones are the best. These shows have certainly earned their spots for being well-received and applauded.
