Liam Hemsworth to Split with Miley Cyrus due to VMA Performance: Why People Think Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth Might Be Just For Show [VIDEO & REPORT]

Expendables star Liam Hemsworth has decided to call it quits with fiancée Miley Cyrus, sources say.

Miley Cyrus who has since revealed that she thought little of her outrageous performance at the recently concluded MTV Video Music Awards, beau Liam Hemsworth does not appear to share her sentiments.

Cyrus' performance-which had her prancing and twerking about the stage, running up against performer Robin Thicke, emulating crude gestures with a foam finger, as well as finding little to no reason of sticking out her tongue constantly-was said to have been too much for Hemsworth, with an insider saying that the actor was mortified by the onstage performance.

The couple, who had both starred as sweethearts in the 2010 coming of age teen romance film The Last Song, still live in Cyrus' Toluca Lake home in Los Angeles, but sources have said that they act more like roommates, adding that the couple do not even sleep in the same room. Several netizens have also noted that the pair looked like they were strangers, as they walked the red carpet at the VMAs.

Hemsworth, 23, and Cyrus, 20, have reportedly been in an extended on and off, on and off relationship lately, with Cyrus' outlandish VMA stint being the final straw for Hemsworth was seen to be very visibly uncomfortable during the performance. Sources say that he is just "weeks away" of calling off the relationship permanently, and that he wants a clean break. With the relationship being on the rocks, and with Hemsworth reportedly seen to be spending more and more time with his family, what could Miley Cyrus' thoughts on the matter be?

Rumors say that she would not really mind if her relationship with Hemsworth came to an end (harsh?). If so, it could only be a matter of time, and of which of them will break the deal-breaking "we're over" phrase first.

We dare you to watch Miley's performance again, and decide if it is a good enough reason to call off an engagement:
