The actress will be starring in a TV adaptation of Maria Semple's novel titled "Today Will Be Different." The novel was published just last September. Maria Semple will be writing the mini-series herself, and Julia Roberts's own company Red Om Films will be producing it.

In the movie "Pretty Woman" which was released on 23rd of March 1990, the actress got a fee of 300,000 USD. In the movie "Mona Lisa Smile" released on 19th of December 2003, the actress got paid with an unprecedented amount of 25million USD for her role.
According to BBC News, Julia Roberts has previously appeared as a guest star in some TV shows such as "Friends" and "Law & Order." But in "Today Will Be Different," Julia Roberts will be taking the lead role. The novel tells a story of a woman named Eleanor Flood who plans to have the best day of her life, but she suddenly wakes up only to find herself in a strange new future.
A statement by Maria Semple's she said that: she is very excited about the idea of Eleanor Flood's story to be brought to life by Julia Roberts, and she also said that this will be a fun ride. However, the mini-series has no confirmation yet on which network will be broadcasting the show.
According to Variety, the mini-series marks the first regular TV role for Julia Roberts, who is best known for her roles in "Pretty Woman," "Erin Brokovich," and "Mother's Day." Julia Roberts also starred in the HBO television movie "The Normal Heart.The upcoming mini-series "Today Will Be Different" was not the only novel of Maria Semple's that has been adapted as a TV series.
Maria Semple's novel "Where'd You Go, Bernadette" was one of her novels that have a TV adaptation which was starred by Cate Blanchett, and being directed by Richard Linklater.
