‘Outlander’ Season 3 Spoilers & Update: Print Shop Scene Revealed To Be An Intimate ‘Rape’ Scene?

By Conan K.

Hold your horses! The much awaited “Outlander” season 3 will arrive on screen in 2017. Fans have been waiting for the Season 3 plot’s to unfold. Besides that, the much anticipated “Print Shop” scene teased by Sam Heughan is confirmed to be now in production.

For those who weren’t yet informed, the “Print Shop” scene involves Claire Randall/Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie MacKenzie Fraser (Sam Heughan) being reunited with each other after a long time of being apart for 20 years. So, it’s not surprising that the crew and cast know how much this scene is important to every fan.

Show’s executive producer, Matthew Roberts dropped a photo on Twitter of the script only highlighting the “PRINT SHOP” in it with the caption: “So close I think I actually have ink on my hands. #prepping #Outlander #anyoneknowwhereicanfindcarfaxclose” while Sam Heughan teased a video saying, “Want to see Cait in the print shop?” along with a GIF of a cat playing with a printer.

Inquisitr speculated that sex will happen in the print shop since Caitriona commented on how she understood well what fans mean that she and Jamie lacked intimacy. “I definitely heard that they missed a lot of the intimacy between Jamie and Claire, which I think we were sort of expecting,” Caitriona explained.

“I think we were all missing those more intimate moments. They have so many of their iconic fan moments that they really are looking forward to, so you definitely always hear whenever some of those are not there. I’m trying to think of specifics for you, but the one that I just kept hearing, from what I saw on my Twitter: ‘Where’s the sex?'” she concluded.

Meanwhile, Inverse suggests that the scene in “Voyager” depicts the scene as rape, with Jamie forcing himself to enter Geneva. The controversy involves whether if this scene would be fully adapted to the screen. The divided opinions were the believers that the scene was rape since Geneva told Jaime to stop. Lastly, Diana Gabaldon, author of the book, stated it wasn’t a rape due to the instances of the surroundings.

Will “Outlander” Season 3 bring justice to the scene from “Voyager” or would they just tone down the scene to avoid criticisms? Feel free to share your thoughts below.
