‘Orange Is The New Black’ Season 5 Spoilers & Update: Daya Pulls The Trigger? Returning Cast Details

"Orange Is The New Black" Season 5 will be returning to prison on Netflix in July 2017. What could be in store for the inmates and where the Season 4 finale would lead?

The dark-themed series left the audience jaw-dropped with the finale of "Orange Is The New Black," Season’s 4 Daya Diaz (Dasha Polanco) holding a trigger to her gun hostage inmates, Humphrey and McCullough. She is torn in the scene with feelings for her co-inmates and the pressure that the inmates in jail encouraging her to pull the trigger. Speculations suggest that she might pull the trigger but some just say she’ll not.

In Hollywood Reporter, Dasha Polanco suggests that her character will pull the trigger. “Yes,” Polanco says. “I think Daya’s definitely experiencing some postpartum depression. She might pull back and think about being a mother and not wanting to miss the opportunity of being with her child. But a woman going through postpartum — at that point, they’re very fragile and very sensitive.”

"I would love for Matt to come back," she says of McGorry. Polanco said that she loves working with McGorry even though he is busy now with lots of projects to do. She also stated that her character Daya needs love since when everything in her life started to go wrong, Daya just wants Bennett to return to her. “Trusting Jenji and the writers, this next season is going to be a lot of revelation" she concluded in the interview.

In addition, Instagram posts by the cast were released by each of them to confirm their return to "Orange Is The New Black" new season. Some of those cast were Taylor Schilling as Piper Chapman, Laura Prepon as Alex Vause, Michael Harney as Sam Healy, Kate Mulgrew “Red” inmate, Uzo Aduba as Crazy Eyes, Danielle Brooks as Taystee, and Dasha Polanco as Daya will be returning next season.

The show run by Jenji Kohan confirmed on Digital Times that the series is already renewed for Season 5, 6 and 7.
