Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G Officially Launched In China With Free 4G Connectivity; Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro Leaked

Xiaomi released its first laptop Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air last July, which drew the comparison to battle out MacBook Air due to its name and value. But China just can’t hold back as Xiaomi just released its new Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G equipped with high-end beast specs to dominate your laptop experience to the highest level possible.

Officially launched in China last Dec. 23, Xiaomi Mi Notebook 4G is now equipped with sim connectivity, specifically LTE Cat 4. Now, users can connect to the Internet even without Wi-Fi by using its sim connectivity capability similar to tablets and smartphones. It is similar to the first Xiaomi laptop in terms of sleekness and design. It also operates on Windows 10.

There are two variants to the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G. The first one is smaller in a 12.5-inch yet still jacketed with the all metal design. It is powered by Core M3 processor, paired with a 4GB RAM and a 128GB SDD storage. The bigger one is a 13.3-inch with a sixth generation Intel Core i7 processor and 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 940MX graphics card to achieve the dream of gamers, along with an 8GB RAM with a 256GB SDD storage. The 12.5-inch variant has a weight and thickness of 1.07kg and is 12.9mm thick with Dolby Digital as sound support, while the bigger variant has a weight around 1.3kg.

On the downside, Xiaomi failed in incorporating a TN panel screen which has less brightness and dull display compared to IPN screens which nowadays work better with such specs like the MacBook Air, stated by India Today.

Rumors said the new upgrade will be called Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro, just like Apple as people guessed. PC-Tablet leaked that the expected specs would have 4K resolution display and pack Intel i7-6700HQ processor, Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M graphics card, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and 512GB of internal storage. People still hope that the screen will be fixed in the next upgrade update.

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G was launched with the collaboration with China Mobile. According to NDTV, the company has announced that users will get free access to 4GB of 4G data every month, totaling 48GB a year. Unfortunately, it would only be available in China. No announcements have been made yet when it will be launched in other markets.

The smaller variant is priced at CNY 4,699 (roughly Rs. 46,500) while the 13.3-inch model is priced at CNY 6,999 (roughly Rs. 69,500).
