Emmy Awards 2013 [LIVE STREAM FREE]: Watch The Opening By Neil Patrick Harris, And The List Of Winners!

The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards premiered tonight 8pm, as hundreds of TV show stars and fans gathered at the Nokia Theatre over in downtown Los Angeles, CA, honouring only the best in primetime programming.

Neil Patrick Harris is host, and opens the 65th Emmy Awards with a monologue, contrary to what several people are expecting him to do, which is a musical number which he has used as opening with great success before. It isn't Harris' first time to open the Emmy's-he's done it before, but is it as good this time around?

Harris opened the Emmys 2013 with a humorous monologue, and is eventually joined by former Emmy Awards hosts, with the likes of Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Jane Lynch, Conan O'Brien, Kevin Spacey, Amy Poehler, and Tina Fey, the hosts all gathering onstage in a gaggle of humorous reminiscing of the good old past, before Kevin Spacey appears offstage to diabolically announce his plans to unseat Neil Patrick Harris as the Emmys host.

The Emmys' first award went to "Nurse Jackie's" Merrit Weaver, for Best Comedy Supporting Actress. It is her first time to accept an Emmy, and surprisingly enough she wraps up her acceptance speech in less than one minute, breathlessly saying a brief thanks before dashing offstage with her shiny new trophy.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus wins Best Comedy Actress for "Veep," which also triumphs over "Modern Family" nominees at the Best Comedy Supporting Actor with Tony Hale receiving an Emmy award.

Jim Parsons of "Big Bang Theory"wins Best Comedy Actor, while Tina Fey and Tracey Wigfield both bring an Emmy home for Best Comedy Writing.

Laura Linney of "The Big C: Hereafter" wins an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress, while the Emmy award for Best Supporting Actress goes to Anna Gunn of "Breaking Bad."

It's a night of firsts, as several will be going home with their first ever Emmy Award, or Emmy nomination, which is already an honor itself.

The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards is still ongoing at CBS, or you can follow it live on their Twitter account.
