Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to Return as Golden Globes Hosts in 2014, 2015

The electric comedy pair, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler is set to host two more consecutive Golden Globes awards nights on 2014 and 2015.

The two top-notch comediennes has the Hollywood Foreign Press Association tied up in their fingers. It has been announced that the Fey and Poehler will return for next year and 2015's awarding ceremonies as hosts. The Saturday Night Live veterans presented a highly-acclaimed performance hosting this year's Golden Globes last January.

"They have always been our first choice as hosts, and we're delighted they are back for the next two years," stated Theo Kingma, president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association as reported by NY Daily News.

"The Hunger Games was one of the biggest films of the year, and also what I called the six weeks it took for me to get into this dress." said Tina Fey during their monologue at this year's show.

"Ang Lee's been nominated for Best Director for Life of Pi, which is what I'm going to call the six weeks after I take this dress off!" quickly followed Poehler in the same monologue.

Before Fey and Poehler nabbed the hosting gig, the Golden Globes was hosted by British comedian, Ricky Gervais for three years in a row. Though unlike Fey and Poehler who received favorable reviews without leaving celebrities overly-bashed, Gervais had a problem controlling what he had to say about some trending stars.

"We want to assure you that we have no intention of being edgy or offensive tonight, because, as Ricky learned the hard way, when you run afoul of the Hollywood Foreign Press, they make you host this show two more times," cleverly quipped Poehler in the explosively funny monologue.

One factor that didn't make the decision such a hard one to make was the huge increase of ratings for the coveted awards ceremony. Ratings rose 12% from the previous year's show (2012), with Fey and Poehler attracting 19.7 million viewers.
