How To See This Weekend Leonid Meteor Shower

The 2013 Leonid meteor shower is expected to be reach a peak from Nov. 16 through Nov. 18 with a high chance weather will allow people to see such a beautiful event mostly in the Northern Hemisphere.

The best time to see the meteors will be anytime between midnight and dawn with a peak time likely about 5 am on Sunday coming from out of the constellation Leo in the eastern sky.

They might be seen with the naked eye, preferably in the country away from city lights.

According to experts, the best way to take pictures of the shower is finding a place with as little light as possible, using wide-angle lens to capture as much of the sky as possible, using a tripod to mount a D-SLR camera, setting camera to a 15-second exposure and a high ISO, and being patient as 10 to 15 meteors will show up each hour.
