Black Man Jailed 56 Times By Allegedly Racist Cops For 'Trespassing' His Own Workplace: How Is This Even Possible?

A black man has had a long and recurring history of being stopped, questioned, and put behind bars by police in Miami Gardens.

According to MSN News, Earl Sampson, a black man, has been questioned by the police for nearly 258 times now within the last four years. That is not counting the 100 times police has searched him, 62 times he was arrested, and 56 times he was put behind bars for 'trespassing' his own workplace, a convenience store.

Alex Saleh, the owner of the store where Sampson has been working for voiced out his confusion on the fact that Sampson as well as many other black men in their area are being constantly sought, questioned, and arrested by local police force for minor troubles and sometimes for no apparent reason at all.

Saleh revealed that this prompted him to install video cameras to track the activity of his workers and has even led him to inform local police on multiple accounts that Sampson is his employee and he is not at all trespassing at his store.

As of late, Saleh is planning to file a federal civil rights lawsuit for Sampson as well as for other black men he believes have been racially discriminated by authorities.

"I never felt they had any probable cause," Sampson said in an interview for the Miami Herald.  "They hop out of the car and search me before they even ask me for my name. ... We have people shooting, killing, robberies. This is really ridiculous that they spend so much time arresting people for trespassing."

The Miami Herald has been trying to contact the Miami Gardens police chief but no one has responded to the calls and emails of the paper.

Local citizens who have read the news expressed their disappointment on the Miami Gardens cops, claiming that they are indeed racist cops.

Additionally, many still question how Sampson and other black men managed to allow this setup to continuously recur.
