Last week's "Live Bait" episode was indeed a shocker and an eye opener for The Governor (David Morrissey). After seeing him end up as a somehow hero when he saved a little girl named Meghan (who by the way reminds him of his daughter) and after killing several walkers with his bare hands, we were surprised to know that there is this side of The Governor. And who can forget that scene when Teh Governor decided to use an oxygen tank to kill the zombified David to save Tara (Alanna Masterson)? This week, we will get to see more of the Chambler family and the Governor, not bonding in a family kind of way, but in a somehow friendly enough manner that we won't believe The Governor has this in him until we see Walking Dead season 4 episode 7 air tonight at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
Now who else is bothered that we didn't get to see Team Prison last week? Well, apparently expect the same thing this week since TV Line has already hinted that these two standalone Governor episodes will focus on "The Governor's whereabouts." It can also be noted that Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) recently revealed to Atlanta Magazine, "My job is to serve my character in the scripts that I'm given. I just read two scripts, both of which I'm not in. And I think they're the greatest episodes we've ever had." Although this may be a sad thing for Team Prison fans, it will all be worth it when episode 8 or the mid-season finale - which is said to be quite action-packed - airs the following week. In a sneak peek to Walking Dead season 4 episode 7 "Dead Weight" we are teased by the idea that The Governor and his mini-family is going to join Martinez's new group. In the preview we can even hear The Gov. saying, "We will do the only thing to protect this camp," so we presume that he is referring to either the new found group of Martinez or another camp that they plan to take over.
