Destiny's Child member and "Dirty Laundry" singer Kelly Rowland confirmed her Engagement with manager Tim Witherspoon during her appearance at The Queen Latifah Show, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Rowland, 32, flashed her diamond ring via social media Instagram, which fueled speculations last month that she's engaged. She confirmed in Queen Latifah's show of her engagement that Tim Witherspoon, Rowland's manager had proposed some time ago.
"He put a ring on it," Rowland said during the show. "It's been a while. We've kept it very, very low-for years, to be completely honest."
Rowland said that she was in Bulgaria when Tim Witherspoon proposed. They were chatting over Skype when Witherspoon asked her to marry him.
"He asked me first on Skype and I was like, 'We're so far away from each other,'" Rowland said in the interview. "There's nothing like getting engaged in Bulgaria. It's the happiest thing that happened in Bulgaria that day," Latifah commented during the show.
"But it was so late, I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other," Rowland said. "And he asked me, and it was just that simple to say yes. I was like, 'I got my best friend to ride through life with.' He really is my best friend."
It has been reported that Rowland had been dating Witherspoon for four years, though on-and-off. The couple has been photographed on various occasions spending time together, the report said.
Last September, news circulated that the couple had a secret wedding, but Rowland was quick to dismiss the rumors
"I don't know. Too busy with the career," Rowland said in an interview in September about why she is not yet married with kids. "I do want kids, I do want to be married. But, I want one kid."
