Of course, this is due to the fact that many celebs and stars died within this year including 'Glee' star Cory Monteith and the most recent one being 'Fast & Furious' actor Paul Walker. Thus, we have decided to come up with the list of celebrity deaths. Note that these are not at all hoaxes, but some may be too odd for the average imagination. 10. Heath Ledger: It was a death that surely shocked everyone since his career was on its peak when he was found lifeless in his New York apartment in January 22, 2008. The Australian actor, who was posthumously recognized for his 'The Dark Knight' performance as supporting actor was said to have died from an overdose of prescription drugs. Heath Andrew Ledger died at the young age of 28 in the midst of filming his last role as Tony in 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.'

9. Michael Hutchence: The famous INXS singer reportedly died at 37 after a successful suicide attempt. Michael's body was found in a Sydney, Australia hotel room, where he allegedly overdosed himself with drugs. However, his ex Paula Yates, who died about three years after the incident revealed to the authorities that Michael Hutchence actually botched an attempt at "auto-erotic asphyxiation."

8. Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez: The famous rapper/singer of the hit TLC trio got into a single-crash accident in La Ceiba, Honduras. "Left Eye" reportedly suffered from severe head and neck injuries, which led to her premature demise at 30 back in 2002.

7. Aaliyah: This 22-year-old singer also died in a vehicular crash. However, the 'Are You That Somebody' singer didn't die alone after an over-loaded twine-engine plane crashed in 2001. The flight was leaving the Bahamas when it crashed, leaving 9 passengers dead including Aaliyah.

6. Sonny Bono: This singer-turned-politician died at 62. Also known for being Cher's hubby and Chaz Bono's father, Sonny got into a skiing accident where he unfortunately hit a tree in South Lake Tahoe, California. He died due to the massive head injuries he got from the accident.

5. Phil Hartman: If you have been an avid fan of Saturday Night Live, then you'll remember this guy as the witty Canadian comic. However, Hartman was killed at 49 by no other than his own wife Brynn. Reports stated that Brynn fatally shot Phil at their Encino, California home, then she later "turned the gun on herself."

4. Selena: This very famous 23-year-old Tejano singer unfortunately got fatally shot in 1995. According to authorities, Selena was shot by a Yolanda Saldivar, who happens to be the president of the singer's fan club. It can be noted that J. Lo portrayed the singer's life in the feature film titled "Selena," which was released two years after her death.

3. Steve Irwin: If you can recall back in 2006, everyone was shocked to hear that the beloved Crocodile Hunter died. However, it was never a crocodile that led to his early demise at 44; it was a sting ray spine that had pierced his chest while he was out snorkelling at Australia's Great Barrier Reef.

2. Brandon Lee: Yup! He is the son of karate icon Bruce Lee. Nevertheless, it seems that he didn't acquire the agile moves of his father, for he was accidentally shot on the set of his film, The Crow, in Wilmington, North Carolina in 1993. The incident became very controversial such that the film footage of his death on set was right away destroyed before the film was even developed.

1. David Carradine: He may be a veteran of classic action-packed films such as 'Kung Fu' and 'Kill Bill,' but Carradine's death still remains a mystery. He died in 2009. His body was found hung inside the closet of his Bangkok, Thailand hotel room. Circulating reports back then revealed that his body was "rope tied around his neck, wrist, and genitalia."
