Reign season 1 episode 10 is full of surprises. Last week's Reign season 1 episode 9 "For King and Country" marked the return of the series on its primetime airing following its long winter break. It also marked the return of Mary (Adelaide Kane) and Bash (Torrance Coombs) into the castle, only to find themselves in more complicated and compromising situations. We also saw Catherine more than eager to keep Mary from Francis (Toby Regbo). This week, an assassination attempt is made on Bash's life, and only one character is seen as prime suspect. We have our eyes on Catherine, who may have orchestrated a new plan that will hopefully send Queen Mary away. Meanwhile, although Francis is pretty determined to marry Queen Mary, his bond with his brother is forever changed, and this will be very evident on the upcoming episode. Interestingly, Mary will be pre-occupied in helping a pregnant peasant named Isobel this week. Mary believes that Isobel is wrongly imprisoned, but wait until she finds out the "mysterious tie" Isobel shares with Bash. Will this affect Mary's bond with Bash? We hope not since Lola is now trying drastic measures just to secure the romance between Queen Mary and Bash. The official synopsis for Reign season 1 episode 10 "Sacrifice" reads: "An assassination attempt is made on Bash's life, and Catherine appears to be responsible for it.
