Samsung Galaxy S5 Specs Leaked: Russian Says Galaxy S5 To Be First Quad HD Smartphone In Western Hemisphere

Eldar Murtazin, a Russian insider and blogger has claimed that he knows the exact specifications of the upcoming smartphone Samsung Galaxy S5.

According to PhoneArena, Samsung sent out "Unpacked 5" invitations to media Monday for its official unveiling of Galaxy S5 on February 24 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

However, Murtazin went ahead of the tech company in revealing the features of its flagship device when he claimed that Samsung Galaxy S5 will have a 5.24-inch screen with an impressive 2560x1440-pixel, Quad HD resolution.

If Murtazin's revelation turns out to be correct, this would make Galaxy S5 the first Quad HD smartphone available in the Western hemisphere, read the report. Vivo Xplay 3S remains the first and only Quad HD smartphone to date but the device is only available in China.

Samsung Galaxy S5's 560ppi is also a revolutionary breakthrough in smartphone pixel density, as no device has yet broken the 500ppi barrier.

The 3200mAh battery capacity would also marginally improve its battery life, as compared to 2013's Samsung Galaxy S4 which came with a less impressive 2600mAh battery.

The device is also rumored to feature increased internal storage, as Samsung would be releasing a 32GB and 64GB internal storage versions of Galaxy S5, reported PhoneArena.
