Julia Lipnitskaia 2013 [PHOTOS] See The Transformation of Russian Figure Skater From Teenager to Pro!

Julia Lipnitskaia 2013 photos are being sought at the moment following the Russian figure skater's amazing performance in the Sochi Winter Olympics, which helped the host country snag its first gold medal. Everyone was in awe when Lipnitskaia flawlessly performed her routine to the beat of "You don't give up on Love" by Mark Minkov. Moreover, many were surprised that the professional figure skater is just a 15-year-old girl.

Lipnitskaia is no doubt a prodigy in her own right after holding her nerve under pressure just so she could secure her home country's qualification in first place for the free skating finals. She did a triple lutz-triple toeloop combo, a double axel, and a triple flip in her skate. Her routine won her this season's best rating of 12.90, leaving Italy's Carolina Kostner on second place with 70.84 and Japan's Mao Asada on third place with 64.07.

Looking back to her victories in the recent years, one can say that Julia Lipnitskaia was built to land first this season.

Just last October, Julia Lipnitskaia won the 2013 Finlandia Trophy for the second consecutive time. She beat the 2012 World bronze medalist Akiko Suzuki of Japan and the reigning Russian national champion Elizaveta Tuktamysheva.

In the said 2013 event, Julia Lipnitskaia garnered 191.31 points all in all while Suzuki and Tuktamysheva earned 180.54 and 173.45 points respectively.

"It is too early to compare (skaters). At the moment it means nothing how this or that skater performs," the teenage skater told R-Sport then. "Of course, I must move forward and skate clean; all seek to do so since the beginning of the season. However, there is a big time-frame between the beginning of skating year and the time when need to be in the peak of sporting shape for the Olympics. Everything can change."

"These competitions are a step in the work that we have outlined with Julia. I can't say that I'm dissatisfied with something. There are things on which we will continue to work. Here, in Finland, Julia did probably more than 90 percent of what we have planned." Lipnitskaia's coach Eteri Tutberidze said.

"Julia became adult and it's obvious. Now she is completely different in the sense of approach to competitions. I would say that this is probably the return of the Julia that never gives up." Tutberidze added.

It can be noted that in the previous season before Julia Lipnitskaia joined the 2013 competitions, she struggled with a few injuries and adapting to the changes in her body due to puberty.

Despite her previous mishaps, Julia proved the world that she is willing to do everything and beat the odds to reach her dreams.

Julia started skating at the age of four but it was only in 2009 when she and her mother decided for her to pursue a career in figure skating. That same year she joined Tutberidze's team and she right away placed 5th on the junior level at the 2012 Russian Championships.

The year 2012 marked the Russian skater's senior level debut. In fact, she won the gold medal for the 2012 Finlandia Trophy. The 2013 World Junior Championships marked her return to the skating rink competition after facing some puberty issues.

Julia Lipnitskaia's awards include the 2013 Grand Prix Final silver medal, the Russian national silver medal (twice) and the 2012 World Junior Championships.
