DWTS Elimination Today: ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 18 Says Goodbye to Nene Leakes After Latin-Themed Show

DWTS elimination today got Nene Leakes bidding the set of the hottest dancing show goodbye. It was a tough competition Monday night with the Latin-themed show and all of the remaining seven couples did their best. However, DWTS elimination has to send home one dancing couple, and this week it was 'Real Housewives' star Nene Leakes and professional partner Tony Dovolani, who got eliminated from the competition.

Last week on 'Dancing With The Stars' season 18 episode 6, fans saw the exit of Drew Carey and professional dance partner Cheryl Burke from the show after obtaining the lowest scores and fan votes. This week, during the DWTS elimination, Nene Leakes got the lowest score and fan votes. Hence, she and partner Tony Dovolani were sent home Monday.

At the start of ABC's hot dance competition show, Ricky Martin proved that he still got the moves as he danced to the beat of his World Cup Song "Vida." After which, he joined the rest of the judges in critiquing the performances of the remaining couples.

After the DWTS elimination today, the remaining contenders for this season's title include: Candace Cameron-Bure and Mark Ballas, Danica McKellar and Val Chmerkovskiy, James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd, Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Charlie White and Sharna Burgess, and Amy Purdy and partner Derek Hough.

Prior to 'Dancing With The Stars' season 18 episode 7, 'The Wonder Years' actress Danica McKellar, who is also a tough contender this season, sustained an injury during the rehearsals. The actress even shared it to her Twitter fans, who immediately showed their love and support to the celeb.

"So... I broke a rib in yesterday's #DWTS rehearsal," McKellar tweeted Friday, April 25. "Trying my best to pull thru and could use your prayers!! #wanttokeepdancing"

Later, McKellar wrote: "Had rehearsal today... It's tough dancing with a broken rib. @iamvalc choreographed an amazing routine- fingers crossed I can pull it off!"

Despite earlier rumors that Danica McKellar might be exiting the show due to her injury, McKellar continued and even promised to do her best.

After her performance, many fans flooded Twitter with praises for the injured actress' performance.

"Thank you all for your incredible outpouring of love, prayers and support for a speedy recovery of my broken rib," Danica McKellar responded to the praises she got from her Twitter followers.
