Zac Efron the baby-faced, blue-eyed cuttie that first notably graced our screens when he landed the role of Troy Bolton on Disney's High School Musical series. He later followed it up with his role Link Larkin on the film adaptation of Hairspray, and then as the teenage Mike O'Donnell in 17 Again making a name for himself in the minds of teenagers everywhere. Fast-forward to almost eight years later Zac Efron is a certified hottie and not just for teenage girls anymore.
Just to remind us that he's all grown up now, Efron has been pulling from his teeny-bopper image pursuing more mature roles. In the last two years, he's starred in The dark and edgy Paperboy (the movie where Nicole Kidman famously peed on him), He acted (and produced) the male-friendly comedy That Awkward Moment-for which he won MTV Movie Awards Best Shirtless Performance. He also had a role as a doctor in Parkland, a drama which recounts the day of John F. Kennedy shooting showcased from multiple perspectives.
And most recently his role on the upcoming comedy film "Neighbors" as Teddy Sanders , the leader of the fraternity house next to the new house that this young couple (Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne) together with their new baby move in to.
Efron has been honest about checking himself in and out of rehab the past year he says that he is now in a good place. He has been quoted thanking people for the support as well as saying that he has gained much from the experience "The best part of it was being able to reflect upon that experience and realize how much I have learned about myself and the kind of man I want to be."
It seems that things are looking up as of late. It seems that his career is picking up again and so is his love life.
He is rumored to be dating his Neighbors co-star 20-year-old Halston Sage. They are believed to have started seeing each other in between the shooting of their movie and that since Efron's stint in rehab they have only gotten closer.
They were spotted cozying it up last April 4, during a LA Lakers game. And onlookers during neighbors premier have stated that the two looked very comfortable with each other.
"They were seeing each other a bit during filming of their movie together and ever since he went to rehab they got a lot closer," the source said. "Her friends love him and say he is so sweet. He's really good to her."
