Joy Behar Throws Beef Against Elisabeth Hasselbeck's Anti-Rosie O'Donnell Comments: It's The War of 'The View' Co-Hosts!

Joy Behar may not be returning to "The View" but she is definitely taking the side of Rosie O'Donnell, who is - as per FOX News official statements - returning to the controversial table. And when someone says not so nice things about the latter, Behar is sure to throw a beef at them, even if it's former "The View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

On Wednesday, July 9, Elisabeth Hasselbeck slammed Rosie O'Donnell with too presumptive statements that sounded quite rude to Behar's ears.

Despite being on vacation, 37-year-old Hasselbeck took the time to make a call to "Fox & Friends" just to speak about 52-year-old O'Donnell in light of the issue that Rosie is returning to "The View."

Elisabeth was very frank in saying news about O'Donnell's return absolutely ruined her vacation, adding, "Here in comes to The View the very woman who spit in the face of our military, spit in the face of her own network, and really in the face of a person who stood by her and had civilized debates for the time that she was there, coming back with a bunch of control ready to regain a seat at the View table."

Upon hearing about Hasselbeck's statements, Joy Behar, 71, who stopped by CNN later that day, also took the opportunity to slam the former calling her comment "a hate-filed remark."

"I thought that was really kind of below-the-belt, to say she spits in the face of the military," Behar fired. "I would like Elisabeth to explain herself," Behar, who called O'Donnell "edgy" earlier in the segment, said. "What does she mean by that? And isn't it kind of a nasty thing to say about somebody who basically is a good person?"

Behar even singled out that one of O'Donnell's sons is actually a student at military academy The Citadel, adding that to say something like Rosie hates the military doesn't make sense and is "a dangerous thing to say.

"Isn't it kind of a nasty thing to say about somebody who basically is a good person?" Behar continued. "I mean, say what you want about Rosie O'Donnell, she's a very generous person, she has a million kids, she's always rescuing children-I mean, she has more kids than Mrs. Duggar at this point on her roster. Her son is at The Citadel-what more does Elisabeth want?"

"To say that she spits in the face of the military, that's a dangerous thing to say about somebody," Behar added. "First of all, it's not true. I would like her to prove it. Everything is fiction on Fox anyway, what am I talking about?"

"I think it's a hate-filled remark," Behar added. "And she should explain it."
