NBA Trade Rumors 2014: Cleveland Cavaliers Could Trade Anthony Bennett for Thaddeus Young as Part of Kevin Love Trade

The Cleveland Cavaliers could send Anthony Bennett to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Thaddeus Young as part of deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves for Kevin Love.

Brian Windhorst of ESPN reported that the Young will end up in Minnesota as part of the deal for Love, but he also noted that the Bennett-for-Young trade could happen first before the major deal that is expected to be finalized by late August.

"I believe, Thaddeus Young will end up in Minnesota, either as part of a separate deal or apart of the three-way deal. Possibly, Anthony Bennett, who's on the Cavs right now, could get re-routed to Philadelphia in part of the deal with Thaddeus Young," Windhorst said in an ESPN Radio interview.

The Timberwolves are reportedly eyeing Young to replace Love on their starting lineup. The 26-year-old forward averaged 17.9 points to go along with 6.0 rebounds in 79 games last season.

However, the Timberwolves might have a sudden change of heart in the coming days as the versatile forward is also set to become a free agent after the current season, which means that Minnesota will likely ask for long-term commitment from Young before striking a deal.

But while Young's involvement in the deal remains uncertain, Windhorst revealed that the trade that would send Love to Cleveland and rookie Andrew Wiggins to Minnesota is already a done deal. He said that that the Cavaliers and the Timberwolves already have a "handshake" agreement on the deal.

"Essentially, what you need to know if you're a NBA fan: Kevin Love's going to be on the Cavs barring anything unforeseen and Andrew Wiggins, the number one overall pick, is going to be in Minnesota," Windhorst said.

Both teams cannot announce an agreement until Aug. 23 - the day Wiggins will become available in trades. The 2014 first overall pick signed his rookie contract on July 24 and NBA rules prohibit him from being traded within 30 days after the contract signing.

"The deal is done but not done," Windhorst said. "The teams have agreed but can't say they've agreed because we're in this weird moratorium period. Between now and then could a team come in with a trade that Minnesota doesn't see? Yes, so it's not done. But there is this handshake agreement."
