Nick Cannon Confirms Living Apart From Wife Mariah Carey For A 'Few Months' Now Because of Certain Marital Woes He Calls 'Trouble in Paradise'

Nick Cannon confirms living apart from Mariah Carey rumors this week and even he even opened up about the marital woes that he and the famous diva are facing. In a recent interview with The Insider, Nick Cannon confirms living apart from his wife for a couple of months now, verifying month-long speculations that they are he and his Mariah Carey are heading to splitsville.

"We have been living in separate houses for a few months," Nick Cannon says, confirming that he and Carey are indeed living apart from each other.

When asked on what may have caused this decision, Cannon reveals that certain marital problems have caused a strain on their romance. "There is trouble in paradise," he quipped.

After Nick Cannon confirms living apart rumors, he slammed circulating speculations that he has been unfaithful to his "Without You" hit maker wife, according to ABC News.

Additionally, Cannon clarifies that no matter what happens on his relationship with the Grammy winner, he intends to focus his attention to his kids.

"My main focus is my kids," he says.

It can be noted that the 33-year-old "America's Got Talent" host tied the knot with the 44-year-old singer-songwriter in the Bahamas in April 2008 and welcomed their fraternal twins - daughter Monroe and son Moroccan - in 2011.

"We really do feel we are soulmates," Carey gushed to People following their wedding. "I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me."

"She is beautiful on the outside and 10 times as beautiful on the inside," Cannon chimed in at the time.

Before Nick Cannon confirmed living apart from his wife, he celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary in May.

At the time, Cannon was singing a different tone when Parade magazine asked him if the "Nick Cannon living apart from Mariah Carey" rumors were true.

"You kind of have to ignore it because every week it's something different, and if you paid attention to it, it actually probably would start really affecting you," he said at the time.

"It's kind of humorous, really. It couldn't be further off from the truth, and it really affects the credibility of the so-called newspapers," he added.
