As per a TMZ report however, the answer is still a big YES!
Jackson is still banned from the show because officials believed that when Jackson had that infamous nip-slip with Timberlake, the entertainer orchestrated the entire thing for attention.
A spokesman for the NFL was recently contacted and asked, "Is Janet Jackson still blacklisted from NFL?" and the spokesperson didn't shy from naming the Janet as the entertainer who is still not welcome to perform for the halftime show this 2015.
"As for potential acts - we have only ruled out Janet Jackson," the official told TMZ exclusively.
On the other hand, while the question "Is Janet Jackson still blacklisted from NFL?" has now been answered, Timberlake's innocence on the issue is still being questioned.
At the time, Timberlake referred to the "nipplegate" incident as simply a "wardrobe malfunction" but he received some lashing for it.
However, following his statement: "I am sorry that anyone was offended. It was not intentional and is regrettable," JT has been regarded innocent by some.

According to Inquisitr, Janet and Justin planned to put some drama during their halftime performance. The two inserted into the choreography that during one of JT's numbers, he is to pull away at Janet's leathery top so as to reveal a bright-red bra.
The signal for this act was the "bet I'll have you naked by the end of this song" part of the lyrics. However, when Justin pulled away at Janet's top, no bright-red bra was seen. Instead, viewers were treated with closeup shots of Jackson's pierced breast.
