Samsung Mocks Steve Jobs’ Words, Is Korean Tech Firm Taking Fight Into Afterlife?

Korean tech power Samsung is apparently too pissed of seeing Apple stealing their idea of a big smartphone with the launching of iPhone 6 Plus that its marketing arm decided to mock the late Steve Jobs.

Samsung fired shots at Apple and probably its founder Steve Jobs for changing their mind on producing large screen phone, as iPhone 6 plus all set to compete against Samsung's Galaxy Note series.

Samsung's latest advertisement, which was released by the company's Korean branch, sarcastically revived the words of the late Apple executive, who was known as a critic for large phones and for mocking competitors at presentation event during his heydays.

"Released on Twitter by Samsung's Korean arm, this Galaxy Note 4 ad offers an alluring headline: "No one is going to buy a big phone," CNET.com reported."Guess who surprised themselves and changed their minds."

While it's understandable Samsung is quite bitter in Apple for having changed their minds about entering the phablet market after being sued multiple times by the Silicon Valley company for breaching patents, CNET veteran writer Chris Matyszczyk sees it quite distasteful for Samsung to mock the dead.

Of course, Jobs has been known for feisty competitions against Microsoft and Samsung. He thrives for it. However, he was in a disadvantage right now because he can't even retaliate to Samsung's marketing attack.

"He was as rampantly opposed to larger phones as he was occasionally prone to changing his mind entirely. He was also fond of utterly ruthless competition, choosing to mock rival brands at every presentational event," Matyszczyk stressed in his article.

"But he's dead. Doesn't mocking the dead leave a slightly unpleasant and embittered taste? Especially when it comes from a company that's been trawled through the courts quite a few times for, well, copying?

Is Samsung right about mocking Jobs? Or the competition just gets more personal with the latest move by Apple?
