Bell Gardens Police Announces News Of Mayor Daniel Crespo’s Death On The Department’s Facebook Page

As stated by Inquisitr, Bell Gardens Police announced the news of Mayor Daniel Crespo's death on the department's Facebook page. The Mayor of Bell Gardens was shot down in his home by his wife, Lyvette Crespo in a domestic dispute on Tuesday.

On the Department's Facebook page, the news was posted saying, "We regret to inform you that Mayor Daniel Crespo has died as a result of a shooting. Officers and Detectives from the Bell Gardens Police Department along with Los Angeles Sherriff's Homicide Detectives are conducting the investigation."

Authorities revealed that they were send off to a domestic argument at thirty minutes past two pm at a Vinas la Campana condominium complex's home at 6300 block of East Gage Avenue, where they discovered Daniel Crespo with multiple gunshot wounds on his body. The victim was taken to a local hospital but died because of his injuries. As said by the couple's teenage son, Daniel Crespo had been in conflict with his wife before the shooting.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Lt. Steve Jauch made a statement about the upsetting events. "Early reports are that their son, Daniel Jr., 19, tried to intervene in the argument. Early information we have is that a struggle ensued between Daniel Sr. and Daniel Jr. Ultimately, the wife, Lyvette, produced a firearm and shot her husband multiple times." The news on the mayor's tragic death was posted on Bell Gardens Police Department's social media page, Facebook.

The former probation officer, Mayor Daniel Crespo had a history of working with distressed youth. He was thought to be a compassionate person with integrity who always took his job earnestly. After working as a probation officer in the early '90s, he moved to Bell Gardens, where he was chosen in 2001 as a Bell City council member, later winning the Mayor of Bell Gardens vote.

In 1986, 45-year old Daniel Crespo married his high school beloved Lyvette C. Collazo. On his sudden and untimely death, he leaves behind a son and a daughter. His 43-year old wife and slayer Lyvette was incarcerated and taken to the Bell Gardens Police Department. Officials said that she and her son were interrogated by the police.

No apprehensions have been made concerning the death of Daniel Crespo that was posted on the Facebook page of Bell Gardens Police Department. But as said by the authorities, the case would be passed over to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office to decide if felonious charges would be filed.
