Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh sounded like he has an axe to grind against LeBron James, saying that he is not planning to meet and talk with the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar.
The Cavaliers and the Heat are scheduled to collide in a preseason match in Rio De Janeiro in Brazil. When asked if he is planning to talk to his former teammate, Bosh did not hesitate to say "No" because he doesn't care about him since he is not a Heat player anymore.
"I'm in the mode where I'm trying to lead my team, help these guys out around here," Bosh said via ESPN. "If guys aren't in this locker room, I don't have much time for them -- if any."
Bosh understands that there is a growing anticipation about their upcoming meeting on Saturday, but the 30-year-old said that it is just another game for him - another opportunity to prepare for the upcoming 2014-15 NBA season.
"Everybody's going to hype it up, and it's going to be a big deal," Bosh said. "But for us, it's just another opportunity to get better. We know everything that's surrounding the situation, and it is what it is. As far as we're concerned, this is our team, this is what we're trying to build toward, the past is the past, we're moving on."
Bosh also considered leaving the Heat when James decided to return to the Cleveland. But in the end, the 11-year-veteran, who averaged 16.2 points to go along with 6.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game last season, opted to stay in Miami, signing a five-year deal worth $118 million.
James also recently talked about his first match against his former team, but he also played down all talks about it, saying that it is not a big deal for him, considering the fact that it is just a preseason match.
"It's not much of an issue for me going up against Miami, I think," James said via ESPN. "It's a preseason game. It's in Brazil so it's not really on an NBA floor, as well. But it gives us an opportunity to keep on continuing to broaden the game in a huge, worldwide aspect and it will be great for both teams."
