San Francisco 49ers vs St. Louis Rams Recap, Box Scores, Highlights: Colin Kaepernick Leads Niners To 4th Win

The San Francisco 49ers scored a come-from-behind 31-17 victory against the St. Louis Rams on Monday night at the Edward Jones Dome in Saint Louis.

Star quarterback Colin Kaepernick led the way for the 49ers as they erased an early 14-point deficit with his superb passing and decision-making, completing 22-of-36 passes for 343 yards with three touchdowns for the 49ers.

"We just want to win. Whatever it takes, if we're up with the lead or if we have to come from behind," Kaepernick said via ESPN.

The Rams quickly took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter after Benjamin Cunningham's one-yard run and Lance Kendricks' 22-yard touchdown catch, before the 49ers moved within four points at the half.

Kaepernick the opened the second half with an 11-yard touchdown pass to Anquan Boldin before ending the third period with a 32-yard score from Michael Crabtree with only 13 seconds left in the quarter.

Dontae Johnson then sealed the win for the 49ers in the final minute when he returned an interception for a touchdown, ending the Rams' bid to tie the game.

"Talk about an opportunity; I had the chance to make a play," Johnson said of his game-sealing play.

49ers linebacker Dan Skuta had an excellent night for the 49ers as he sacked Rams quarterback Austin Davis twice along with another two from Ahmad Brooks, stalling the St. Louis' offense since the second period.

"We always see different looks in a game," said Skuta after the game. "They hadn't done some of the things they did early. We adjusted and we kept playing; that's something we do really well."

"We've had the ball in every game with a chance to either win or tie," Davis said after the match. "That's where hopefully my experience will help, the more opportunities I get. You've got to be able to go win games at the end."

With the win, the 49ers improved to 4-2 but are still second behind the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC West standings, while the Rams moved to the cellar with their 1-4 card.

San Francisco will next face the Denver Broncos on Sunday, while the Rams will look to bounce back against the Seattle Seahawks.
