Fox Scream Queens: TV Network Orders New Horror Series From Producers of Glee

Fox scream queens - Viewers of the Fox Network do not have to wait long for another blockbuster television series from the producers of the award winning Glee as the station has announced that the group is developing a brand new series on Fox 'Scream Queens.'

Fox scream queens, which is due to hit the screens as Glee comes to an end next year, is reportedly a horror anthology series. Reports indicate that the first season of Fox scream queens will be set in a campus plagued with murders.

The three creators of Glee - Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan - are expected to continue their highly successful collaboration with Fox scream queens. The executive producer of Glee Dante Di Loreto is also expected to serve on board the new production team for Fox scream queens in the same capacity.

Murphy, who expressed optimism about working with Brad and Ian again, has noted that they "hope to create a whole new genre - comedy horror - and the idea is for every season to revolve around two female leads."

He also disclosed that a nationwide search has already begun for actors in the upcoming Fox scream queens.

The head of Fox Television Group, Walden and Newman, have released a statement saying that the new Fox scream queen series is an expression of the "faith" the company has in Murphy and his team.

"One of our top priorities at the network has been to get Ryan Murphy to create a new series for Fox," Dana Walden and Gary Newman revealed. "We loved every element of the pitch for this show - the genre-bending concepts, which blends true horror with big comedic moments; the diverse and unforgettable characters and reuniting the phenomenal creative team that delivered Glee."

Shooting for Fox scream queens is expected to begin by Spring. The station has reportedly ordered about 15 episodes of the new series - one hour each.
