Seattle Seahawks Roster, News & Rumors: Russell Wilson Denies ‘Division’ Insider Their Locker Room

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson denied reports about a growing turmoil inside their locker room that has been affecting their campaign this season.

Recent reports indicated that several Seahawks player blasted Wilson for being not "black enough" this season. When asked about the report, Wilson said that he doesn't even know what it means, reiterating that they are very united as a team and such reports are just trying to give them distractions.

"About me not being black enough, I don't even know what that means," Wilson said ESPN. "People were trying to find ways to knock us down and distract us, but there's no doubt we're more together than ever before. We're probably the closest we've ever been. We keep swinging and we keep believing in each other and our coaching staff."

Wilson also denied reports linking him to the Seahawks' decision to trade Percy Harvin to the New York Jets. The 25-year-old quarterback was mentioned as one of the reasons why Harvin was traded, but Wilson reiterated that he never had issues with their former wide receiver.

"Percy and I never had differences," Wilson said via Seattle PI. "Percy's a guy that - we had a lot of similarities, probably, if anything - guys that want to compete at the highest level, want to win every single time you step on the field, want the ball in our hands to make the big play and everything. I'm not sure why the media tries to blow everything out of proportion"

Wilson managed to silence most of their critics on Sunday when they scored a hard-earned 13-9 win against the Carolina Panthers when he led an 80-yard touchdown late in the final quarter.

After the game, Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman also addressed reports about the alleged dispute inside their locker room, expressing full support to Wilson and denying that some players are disappointed with their quarterback.

"Until someone in this locker actually says something negative [about Wilson], we just take that with a grain of salt," Sherman said. "Anyone can make up anything and say a source said it. I don't think anybody on this team feels that way. We support our quarterback. He fights for us every game."

The defending Super Bowl champions, who are 4-3 this season, will look to improve their card when they face the Oakland Raiders on Sunday at the CenturyLink Field.
