Akiane Kramarik: The Story Behind The World-Renowned Artist And Child Prodigy

Akiane Kramarik Story - Akiane Kramarik is a world-renowned American poet and artist. At age four, she started drawing and was known as a child prodigy. Her most popular work is the painting she made when she was eight titled, "Prince of Peace."

Akiane Kramarik's story was revealed and grabbed major media attention after she was featured in the 2014 film, "Heaven is for Real." In the movie, she was the little girl who painted a picture of Jesus. The Examiner reported Kramarik claimed she has had visions and visits with Jesus.

Akiane Kramarik was born in Morris, Illinois. Her story of seeing visions of Jesus, heaven and creation started when she was four. At that same age, she began sketching the images she saw and wrote poetry. The Gospel Herald said she eventually progressed to using oil paints and acrylics in creating remarkable, religious-themed pictures.

"I am a self-taught painter," Kramarik said. "God is my teacher."

According to her parents' story, Ariane Kramarik was once found staring off into space when she was three, with a smile on her face and when asked what she was doing, she just simply answered that she was with God, as stated in an article in New Connexion Magazine.

"I was with God again, and He told me to pray continually. He showed me where He lived," Kramarik said. "I was climbing transparent stairs; underneath I saw gushing waterfalls, and as I was approaching Him, His body was pure and intense light."

Akiane Kramarik also shared that she'll always remember God's first message.

"He said, 'You have to do this, and I'll help you.' He said, 'Now you can help people.' I said, 'Yes, I will.' But I said it in different words in my mind. I speak through my mind to Him," she told Christianity.com.

Akiane Kramarik revealed her story to Katie Couric that she was raised in an atheist home where religion was seldom talked about. But Kramarik never questioned the existence of a God or his influence on her life.

"All of my work is influenced by my faith," she told Katie, saying that she has carried that spiritual inspiration with her from childhood. "Everything I do has a meaning of spirituality."

So far, Kramarik has produced over 200 published art pieces and 800 literary creations along with two bestselling books.

Meanwhile, Akiane Kramarik tried to explain her story in an interview with The Washington Times of what it is like having a vision from God.

"A vision is like an oasis in a desert. You can't have it all the time, as you need to keep on continuing your journey through the desert of life experiences, full of faith trials..." Kramarik said. "I am not so concerned about waiting for a vision to appear because I know it will come to me when I least expect it... I still do have visions that inspire my work."

Akiane Kramarik has shared her story, experience and artistic talent on television shows such as CNN and the Oprah Winfrey Show. Webwire said that her image, titled "The Prince of Peace," is not only featured in the film, "Heaven is for Real," but also her life experience is replicated and told through Colton Burpo.
