This Thanksgiving 2014, Hollywood's biggest celebrities flooded social media sites with their Thanksgiving Thursday pictures. Intimate photos from the stars showed how they spent the holiday whether in the company of friends, loved ones or special someone.

Thanksgiving 2014 is one of the most favored holidays in the US and celebrities are also taking time to celebrate it whether it would be at the comforts of their homes or elsewhere. According to Time, it has also been a normal heady mix of travel disorder, gluttony and family feuds. And as expected, posts poured on social media as celebrities shared how spectacular they spend the holiday.

During the Celebrity Thanksgiving 2014, stars like Oprah Winfrey and John Legend spent the day cooking while Melissa Joan Hart's family and Joe Jonas went outdoors. Some became sentimental, like Kate Hudson, who posted a photo of her late grandmother.

"My beautiful and strong grandmother Laura Hawn was born November 27, 1914 and passed away November 27, 1994 A full cycle," Hudson's Instagram post said. "So this Thanksgiving my gratitude is for Grams. She was my rock for 14 years. A true matriarch. This Thanksgiving is for u gram!!!"

Melissa Rivers also shared a touching picture from her late mother, Joan Rivers' social media account.

"I finally figured out my mom's password HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Xo Melissa," Melissa Rivers tweeted.

Some other celebrities also shared photos of their Thanksgiving 2014 whether they are at home with family or on a tropical vacation like Jessica Chastain. Meanwhile, E! News reported Khloe Kardashian hosted a dinner party at her home while model Miranda Kerr also celebrated the holiday with her cute son.

"My very first dinner party at my house and I couldn't be more thrilled!!!!" Khloe Kardashian posted. "I couldn't have done it without the incredibly talented @jeffleatham!! You are a flower legend to say the least. #HappyThanksgiving So beyond blessed"

Still on Thanksgiving Day, singer-actress Idina Menzel and "Pretty Little Liars" star Lucy Hale performed at the 2014 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Instead of singing the famous "Frozen" theme song, "Let It Go," Menzel performed a cover of Mariah Carey's Christmas hit, "All I Want for Christmas Is You."

Lucy Hale also sang her single, "Lie a Litle Better." E! News reported Menzel and Hale were also joined by singer Nick Jonas who performed his new song, "Jealous." Other performers also include Meghan Trainor and Kiss.

Though these celebrities are some of the biggest in Hollywood, their Thanksgiving 2014 posts showed that the stars wanted to spend the holiday in a normal yet spectacular way.
