Pennsylvania Cheer Mom - A 42-year-old Pottstown woman has been charged after she was caught having sex with a teenager in Hollenbach Park, Upper Pottsgrove.
Police say Iris Gibney was caught by a patrol officer on Nov. 15th at around 8:30 p.m. inside a vehicle with a teenager performing sexual acts. Both of them, who were reportedly naked at the time, have confessed to having sex.
Police reports indicate that the Philadelphia cheer mom was repentant when she was caught. "I've never been in trouble before. I can't believe I did this. I have three children of my own - I am so, so sorry," she said.
Iris Gibney has been leveled with three charges; corruption of minors, disseminating obscene materials to a minor and trespass by motor vehicle. Reports indicate that she has been released on a bail of $50,000 after she turned herself in on Tuesday Dec. 23rd. She is expected to appear in court on Dec. 30th.
Iris Gibney and the unidentified teenager, who attends the same school - Pottsgrove High School - as Gibney's daughter, are reported to have met at a school football game. Iris is a volunteer 'cheer mom' for the school. According to NBC Philadelphia, her daughter is part of the school's actual cheerleading team.
The mother of three is reported to have maintained communication with the teenager online through Twitter and other chat rooms. She reportedly sent him several partially nude pictures of herself.
It is unclear how long the relationship between the Philadelphia cheer mom and the teenager has been going on. It is also unclear what actions the school management will take regarding the incident.
The Philadelphia cheer mom, who works at a Victoria's Secret outlet in a local King of Prussia Mall, has remained silent about her arraignment. Meanwhile, her husband has told the press that he has been affected by the scandal, but is trying to keep his family together.
