SPOILER ALERT: ‘Hannibal’ Season 3 Brings Classic And Universal Terror This 2015; Teases Several Cast Changes

On "Hannibal" Season 3, producer Bryan Fuller said the psychological thriller will focus on universal and classic horror. Since its first season, "Hannibal" has been a huge hit. As the show prepares for its upcoming season scheduled to air this 2015, creators are getting ready to offer a real entertainment for their fans.

"Hannibal" Season 3 also teases with a possibility of a new cast list. According to International Business Times, the show may bring in actors Kristin Chenoweth, Anna Friel, Malcolm McDowell, Lance Henriksen, Brad Dourif, David Thewlis and David Bowie in the upcoming season of NBC's psychological thriller.

The series' producer, Bryan Fuller, talked about what fans would expect on "Hannibal" Season 3 in his interview with the Collider.

"For the new season, we have actually been talking a lot about classic horror and Universal horror, and the metaphor of Will Graham being a bit of a Frankenstein's monster," Fuller said. "He dies, essentially, at the end of the season, and comes back from that stitched together a new man.  Who that man is and how he's seeking his maker is going to be the thrust of the season."

Since "Hannibal" had kicked off its filming in Florence this December, The Daily Mail reported that the show promised a total gore-fest as actors Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy were seen with blood spattered on their faces while on the set.

Meanwhile, there have been rumors that Joe Anderson will replace Michael Pitt to play Mason Verger on "Hannibal" Season 3. According to Master Herald, a teaser photo was recently released, showing the new actor for Mason Verger. The change in casting was apparently a decision made by Pitt himself, where he chose to leave the production.

On the other hand, reports circulated that Pitt may not have left the production on amicable terms. Rumors have it that the actor was disliked by some producers and they have been actively searching for replacement. And the speculations are not a first for Pitt, Christian Post reported the actor formerly left "Boardwalk Empire" surrounded by similar rumors, though these were never officially confirmed.

Though "Hannibal" is considered as one of the best series on television for the past couple of years, the show has also been struggling with rating issues. But with the premiere of "Hannibal" Season 3, creators are optimistic to be able to boost the show's ratings on 2015.

The show could definitely benefit a lot from spicing up its cast a little more. And Tao Okamoto and Eddie Izzard were reportedly joining the show's third season cast as Lady Murasaki and Abel Gideon respectively. In the meantime, "Hannibal" Season 3 is set to air in the spring of 2015.
