Jessica Dorrell and recently dismissed Arkansas football coach Bobby Petrino texted as much as 84 times a day, according to phone records released through the state's Freedom of Information Act, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported.
Dorrell and Petrino texted back-and-forth 84 times in a five-hour span on Oct. 28 -- the day before Arkansas defeated Vanderbilt on the road.
On the week of the Alabama game, which Arkansas would eventually lose, Petrino's first phone call each morning for four straight days was to Dorrell, who at the time was working as a fundraiser for the Razorbacks Foundation. Petrino called her at 5:52 a.m. on Tuesday, 6:35 a.m. on Wednesday, 5:49 a.m. on Thursday, and 7:55 a.m. on Friday, reported Thomas Murphy of The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
There were also numerous photo messages that were sent between the two, which could include naked pictures of Petrino, according to Outkick the Coverage's Clay Travis. Travis tweeted on Wednesday night that "Bobby Petrino nude photos are coming. Prepare yourselves. He Favred himself."
In all the pair exchanged more than 4,300 text messages and nearly 300 phone calls during a seven month relationship. Those phone calls include 11 on the day that Petrino released a statement admitting that he carried on an "inapprorpriate relationship" with Dorrell.
Petrino, who is married with four children, admitted to carrying on a relationship with the 25-year-old former Arkansas volleyball player after a police report released on Thursday showed that she was riding on the back of the motorcycle at the time of his April 1 wreck. He initially told the public that he was the only one involved in the crash, but later admitted that Dorrell was involved and he had been seeing her.
The information was all available to the public because the text messages were sent through Petrino's school issued phone. Because Petrino was a state employee -- the highest paid one last year at $3.53 million -- his text messages and phone calls are public records.
Petrino was dismissed on Tuesday after a comprehensive review by Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long. Long determined that Petrino consciously misled the athletic department regarding Dorrell, including her recent promotion to student-athlete development coordinator for the football program.
"He made the decision, a conscious decision, to mislead the public on Tuesday, and in doing so negatively and adversely affected the reputation of the University of Arkansas and our football program," Long said on Tuesday. "In short, coach Petrino engaged in a pattern of misleading and manipulative behavior designed to deceive me and members of the athletic staff, both before and after the motorcycle accident."
