Robin Williams Estate: Wife And Children Of Late Comedian Fight Over His Personal Belongings

Robin Williams Estate - Only a few months after the death of veteran comedian Robin Williams, his family is embroiled in a legal battle over his belongings.

According to the New York Times, William's widow, Susan Schneider Williams, who he shared a home with him in Tiburon, CA, filed documents in a San Francisco court in December accusing the children of the late actor of taking items from their home without her permission.

Williams has 3 children (Zelda, Zachary and Cody) from his previous marriages - but did not have any kids with Susan Schneider.

Susan Schneider claims that only days after Williams died in August last year, his children had things removed from their home. She subsequently received a notification from William's children about their intention to come and claim some of the items bequeathed to them by their father in his will. But according to the Rolling Stone, she blocked the request over fears of them "invading her home."

Williams reportedly left most of his estate to his children in a trust, but also made provisions for his wife. As part of the agreement, he also left his memorabilia and awards from the entertainment industry, as well as some of his personal belongings to his children.

The issue is; while he left his Tiburon home to his wife, the property contains some of these personal belongings, awards and other items that he may have left to his children.

While Susan Schneider insists that the court must interpret the provisions of Williams' will, his children have rubbished her filing, saying that it only adds insult to injury. They further accuse Susan Schneider, who Williams was married to for less than 3 years, of acting against his will by initiating the court proceeding.

Reports indicate that several of Williams' awards may be at the bone of the contention between his wife and his children. But Susan Schneider has noted that she is not interested in items related to his career, but only some of his personal belongings. She further claims that Williams may have been referring to his personal items in his home in Napa in the will where he bequeaths the items to his children.
