'Walking Dead' Spoiler/Recap, TV Schedule, Free Streaming: Show Returns With Another Death

"The Walking Dead" returned tonight with another shocking death, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The popular series took a break with the death scene of Beth Greene in episode 8. In episode 9 of the fifth season, Tyreese played by Chad Coleman died when a walker attacked him from the back.

"The Walking Dead" started its comeback with flashbacks of dead characters. Father Gabriel led a burial service by reading a Bible as shovels dig for a grave. It is easy to presume that the service was for Beth who died an episode ago but it turned out to be for Tyreese,  IGN reported.

Michonne, Rick, Glenn and Tyreese fulfilled Beth's death wish to bring back Noah to his family. The area has been overrun by walkers and there are no people left in the ruins. Michonne, Rick and Glenn explored the place to gather supplies while Tyreese accompanied Noah to check his home.

The pair discovered the body of Noah's mother on the floor with a big part of her head missing. The house is chaotic and they could not locate the twin brothers.  Noah covered her mother's body with a blanket while Tyreese proceeded to explore the house.

Tyreese went into the room of the twin brothers. A body of a dead boy is on the bed while Tyreese continued to gaze at the pictures of the brothers on the wall. Behind the door, a shadow moved slowly and growled.

The shadow approached the unaware Tyreese slowly. At this point, fans assumed that the survivor would immediately notice and beat the walker to death but the unexpected happened.  The zombie boy bit Tyreese's forearm.

As Tyreese's struggled, Noah came in to the rescue and defeated his walker brother with an airplane toy. Noah went out to call for help as Tyreese laid down on the floor with blood flowing out.

Hallucinations started to flood in Tyreese's mind as he heard the voice of Martin from Terminus saying "I tried to tell you, man. It was gonna be you. You're the kind of guy who tries to save babies." Images of Bob, the Governor, Lizzie Mika rushed in, according to The Daily Beast.

Another walker approached Tyreese and he managed to stop him with his bitten arm. Beth's singing voice can be heard. Tyreese's former enemies taunted him in his head. Michonne appeared and chopped his arm with her sword.

The group loaded Tyreese in the car to take him somewhere but it was too late and the former survivor breathed his last.

For fans who missed the tragic episode 9 entitled "What Happened and What's Going On," they may watch it on AMC's site. "The Walking Dead" returns on Sunday at 9/8c on AMC.
