Anti-Gay Extremist Ben Carson Plans To Be The Next GOP Presidential Candidate

Anti-Gay, lesbian, bixesual and transgender extremist Ben Carson will reportedly run as Republican presidential candidate in 2016, according to Huffington Post.

The retired surgeon is planning to announce his candidacy in May. Carson's team is currently organizing a committee to prepare for the formal announcement. In a recent poll in Iowa among potential voters, Carson earned the fourth rank for the possible Republican candidates who will win the election in 2016, according to Yahoo News.

In the midst of preparation, Carson has been listed in the "Extremist Watch" of the Southern Poverty Law Center together with other so-called hate groups. The ex-surgeon thinks that the SPLC is "crooked" and there are several people who have the same thoughts.

Carson said that branding him as a "hater" is "ironic" since he spent most of his life saving other people. The upcoming presidential candidate mentioned his projects that aimed to help communities. Carson devised a scholarship program in poor areas to help children read and learn. The initiative is intended to contribute to the academic improvement of the children, Daily Mail reported.

The African-American pointed out that due to his open disagreement with gay marriage, he was deemed as a "hater." Carson said that the move of SPLC is "pretty interesting."

In 2013, Carson first gained public attention due to his comments about Obamacare. Carson said that the health insurance system is a form of slavery and it is the "worst thing" that happened to the nation. He voiced out his opinion only a few feet away from the speaker's podium in the middle of the National Prayer Breakfast held in Washington.

Carson has also openly shared his opposition of gay marriage in the past. In his book entitled "America The Beautiful," the ex-doctor said that redefining marriage as between two people of the same gender is a "slippery slope with a disastrous ending."

In an interview with Fox, Carson emphasized that the definition of marriage cannot be changed by gays, NAMBLA or people who support bestiality.  However, he apologized a few days after for his "insensitive comment" and clarified that he loves gay and straight people. Carson added that as a Christian he comes with the duty to love everyone.

Meanwhile, SPLC spokesman Mark Potok said that the criticism for Carson was largely based on his feedback about the "evils of gay people."  Potok added that Carson has stated that gay marriage will be the destruction of America.

SPLC 's "Extremist List" includes Westboro Baptist Church, Ku Klux Klan, Family Research Council and New Black Panther Party Groups.
