Marilyn Jean Hartman: Serial Stowaway Arrested Again After Flying From Minnesota To Florida Without A Ticket

Marilyn Jean Hartman - A 63-year-old woman with a long stowaway history has been arrested again after she flew from Minnesota to Florida on Sunday without a plane ticket or airline documentation.

According to Nassau County Sheriff's Office reports, the suspect, Marilyn Jean Hartman was arrested on Monday after she posed as someone else and arrived at Jacksonville International Airport without security noticing.

Hartman reportedly shuttled to an island resort where she checked in by posing as a guest with a reservation. Staffers at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation, 30-miles from the airport, showed her to a villa before realizing the error when the real guest arrived.

Hotel authorities sought to seize the imposter, however Hartman had disappeared. Security found her the next day in a room under renovation. She was then taken to the police.

Reports indicate that Hartman faces charges of fraud/impersonation, defrauding an innkeeper and trespassing. Her bond was set at $55,006, and she is currently being held at the Nassau County Jail.

Marilyn Jean Hartman, who reports say is homeless, is scheduled to be in court on Tuesday. It's not clear if she has an attorney.

It's not exactly clear what motivates Marilyn Jean Hartman to keep repeating these crimes. According to reports, she has been arrested on numerous occasions for attempting to travel and lodge in places without paying for it.

Last year in February within a span of three days, Hartman was arrested seven times for trying to stowaway on a flight bound to Hawaii. She was sentenced to probation and ordered to stay clear off the San Francisco airport.

At this point the real question is how Marilyn Jean Hartman got to Florida from Minnesota.
