Florida Couple Dumpster: Drunk Florida Couple Who Slept In Dumpster Rescued After Being Thrown In Garbage Truck

Florida Couple Dumpster - Authorities in Florida have rescued a homeless Florida couple who decided to sleep in a dumpster outside a convenience store after getting drunk.

37-year-old Donald L. Jordan and 49-year-old Lisa Sirabella were reportedly still sleeping in the dumpster outside a Wawa gas station close to Tampa on Wednesday morning when the dumpster was emptied into the back of a Progressive Waste Solutions garbage truck.

The driver, Radmas Valasquez, said he just started making his rounds for the day, when he heard screaming and banging from the back of the garbage truck.

He said he pulled over and found the couple stuck. He tried to get them out but couldn't.

Hillsborough County Sheriff's reports indicate that on Wednesday around 5 a.m. distress calls were received about a couple trapped in a garbage truck.

"I was picking up some containers," Valasquez said in his 911 call. "I got two people, I don't know how they got into the back of the truck. But they were stuck in the truck."

"I almost killed them."

According to reports, Jordan and Sirabella are from Kissimmee, which is about 75 miles away. They got really drunk after hanging out in a nearby Seminole Hard Rock & Casino and afterwards decided to sleep rest in the dumpster in front of a convenience store at Orient Road and Hillsborough Avenue.

After their rescue they were transported to a Tampa General Hospital, since they complained of back pain.

According to ABC Action News, Jordan's father says Jordan and Sirabella are homeless and he has no idea how they got to Tampa or their mission.

"So today the good part was I wasn't loaded," Valasquez said. "If I was fully loaded, I probably would have crushed them to death. Honestly."

Reports indicate that Jordan and Sirabella both have long arrest records. Sirabella's criminal history includes arrests for battery, theft, loitering, resisting arrest, and drunk driving.

Jordan's record includes arrests for cocaine possession, trespass, loitering, battery, disorderly conduct, drinking in public and panhandling.
