Woman In Minivan Stops High Speed Chase In Dallas: "Mama Bear" Earns New Car After Helping Police Apprehend Car Thief On High Speed Chase [VIDEO]

Woman In Minivan Stops High Speed Chase In Dallas - Jessica Liesmann, a Dallas mother, has earned the name "Mama Bear" due to her 'wild and protective' reaction on Wednesday after a driver of a white Dodge Challenger, who on a high speed chase with the police, crashed into her minivan parked at a traffic light on Walnut Hill Lane and Abrams Road.

The crash happened around 4.p.m. near the Merriman Park Elementary. Liesmann was in her 2005 Nissan Quest with her 13-year-old son and boyfriend when the incident occurred. Luckily nobody was injured, but the child was transported to a hospital for evaluation.

Kia has given Liesmann a brand new gray Sedona to replace her damaged minivan.

James Seale, general manager at Southwest Kia in Mesquite, said he felt sorry for 'Mama Bear' after learning about the incident. He said he wanted something good to happen to her, and so he offered her three new Kia cars to pick from.
