Carly Rae Jepsen: 'Call Me Maybe' Singer Surprises Fans With Valentine Gifts

Carly Rae Jepsen - It has been exactly 3 years since the Canadian singer shot to fame with the release of her second album Curiosity, now Carly Rae Jepsen - who is finally ready to put out new music - is preparing the ground by surprising fans with Valentine gifts.

Earlier in the month, the 29-year-old Call Me Maybe singer invited fans to tweet #IReallyLikeYou - the title of her upcoming single. "Tweet #IReallyLikeYou and you might get a surprise ;)" she wrote.

True to her promise, Carly Rae Jepsen has retweeted the images of two fans posing with beautiful red roses that she sent them.

"Thanks to #carlyraejepsen for being the first person to ever send me flowers! They're beautiful. #IReallyLikeYou," Jake Gibes wrote.

"came home to best surprise tonight! Thanks @carlyraejepsen ;) #IReallyLikeYou" Stephanie wrote.

Carly Rae Jepsen is expected to release her newest single I Really Like You in March. Since the release of her last album in 2012, the singer has reportedly been working hard to create a new sound that can live up to the success of her last project.

Carly Rae Jepsen's manager Scooter Braun told Billboard last month that I Really Like You is just as good as Call Me Maybe. "I told her that she couldn't come out with anything unless it was on the level of "Call Me Maybe." And, now we have a new one that is on that level," he said.

Reports indicate that Carly Rae Jepsen has been working with Benny Blanco, Dev Hynes (Blood Orange) and Ariel Rechtshaid, as well as Josh Ramsay and Ryan Stewart, who worked with her on Kiss.

On her part, Carly Rae Jepsen has revealed that Cyndi Lauper, whom she has a crush on, will be on her latest album. Jepsen has also revealed that the album will have some folk influence.

"My favorite pop artists at the moment are Robyn...Kimbra, La Roux and Dragonette," she said in 2013."And I think I have a folky side in my blood from what I used to listen to with my parents, and it'll be fun to incorporate more of that in the verses of the pop songs, a little something deeper to the verses. That's what I love about the pop starts I just named, is they don't do just your regular kind of pop songs. There's some stuff to hold onto and dig into."

"That's what I want to do," she explains.
