Tope Imade Deadlift: Texas High School Football Prospect Deadlifts 515 Pounds [VIDEO]

Tope Imade Deadlift - A video of Tope Imade, a 2016 3-star interior offensive lineman from Arlington, Texas, picking up a 515-pound deadlift has gone viral.

Reports indicate that Imade set a new Bowie High School deadlift record after accepting a challenge from his coach last week. He broke the previous 500 pound deadlift record held by 2015 4-star offensive tackle Madison Akamnonu, who signed with Texas Tech last month.

Tope Imade, who measured at 6'5'' and weighs about 320 pounds, achieved the feat surrounded by his cheering teammates.

"My coach kept challenging me to add more weight. He kept adding and I kept lifting," Imade said. "Eventually, it got to 515, and I got it up."

"It was heavy, but I had my teammates there encouraging me."

According to Bowie head coach Danny DeArman, it all started in athletics class earlier this week. When Imade deadlift 450 pounds and was about to add more but they ran out of class time.

After classes Imade went to DeArman and told him he wanted to finish what he started.

"He asked me what the record was, DeArman said."I told him it was 500. He said, 'I want 515.'"

"I whistled and got my players to gather around I told them he was going for a new record. When he lifted it off the ground and got it to his mid-thigh, he paused it, and all of the kids went crazy."

The deadlift video has since gone viral on social media and has landed Imade a lot of college offers. On Monday, he received two of his biggest offers yet, from Texas Tech and Washington.

"I didn't even know my coach was videotaping," Image, who has now received 6 offers, said."After the video, I started getting more interest. I think it had an impact on recruiting."

Imade is rated as the No. 48 guard in the country and No. 12 overall prospect in the state.
